Necromancer has always had that "hits like a truck, walks like one too" problem, but Season 13 gives the class enough tools to feel much sharper on the map. If you're building around fast clears, quick Helltide loops, and fewer dead seconds between packs, the right mix of skills, aspects, and Diablo IV Items can make the class feel far less sluggish. You're not turning it into a Rogue, of course. But you'll notice the difference almost right away: faster pulls, cleaner corpse chains, and much better movement from one objective to the next.



Skills That Keep the Build Moving
Blood Mist is the skill you'll lean on more than you expect. It saves you when things get ugly, but it also lets you slip through bad ground effects and reposition without losing the rhythm of a run. Corpse Tendrils is just as important. Don't hold it forever waiting for a perfect pull. Throw it out often, drag enemies together, and blow them up before they scatter. For your basic skill, Reap feels nice while leveling because it helps with corpses and toughness, though Decompose is fine if you prefer a safer pace. Corpse Explosion does the dirty work once the first bodies hit the floor. For your main spender, Blood Surge is the smoother farming choice for dense content, while Bone Spear suits players who like sharper ranged burst.



Book of the Dead and Aspect Choices
For a true speed setup, most players will sacrifice their minions. It sounds harsh, but it removes a lot of awkward pathing and puts more power straight into your character. Sacrificing Warriors and Mages gives useful offensive value, and dropping the Golem keeps the playstyle clean. On aspects, Ghostwalker is a big deal because Unstoppable effects turn into extra movement. Wind Striker helps keep your pace up when you're landing crits. Aspect of Grasping Veins pairs well with Corpse Tendrils, giving your burst window more bite. Explosive Mist is also worth testing if you enjoy turning Blood Mist into part of your damage cycle, not just a panic button.



Gear Priorities for Faster Farming
Movement Speed should be near the top of your list, not something you grab only if the item is already good. Over a long farming session, moving faster between events, shrines, elites, and dungeon rooms adds up more than people think. After that, look for Critical Strike Chance, Critical Strike Damage, Intelligence, Cooldown Reduction, Resource Generation, and Lucky Hit where it fits your version of the build. Don't overbuild damage if your cooldowns feel clunky. A Necro that can cast, move, pull, and reset cleanly will usually farm better than one that looks stronger on paper but spends half the dungeon walking.



Where This Setup Feels Best
Helltides are where the speedy Necro really starts to feel good. You can move from pack to pack, group mobs quickly, and keep chaining kills without standing around. Nightmare Dungeons also suit the build, especially when you learn which rooms are worth clearing and which ones are just wasting your time. In seasonal activities, speed matters even more because objectives are often spread out and rewards favor steady momentum.
