Editing Your Favorite Team in the Main Menu

Your favorite team is the one shown on your profile and main menu background. To change it:

Navigate to the Main Menu.
Click your user profile icon in the top-right corner.
Select Settings > User Settings.
Press Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox) to open the Settings Preset menu.
Scroll to the bottom and choose Set Favorite Team.
Pick your new team and confirm your selection.

This updates your profile instantly and changes how your main menu looks during gameplay.

Franchise Mode Team Editing

Franchise Mode gives you deep control over team management:

When creating a Franchise, choose Full Control for maximum customization, including logos, uniforms, and stadiums.
To switch teams mid-career, you'll need to either receive a contract offer from a different team or start a new Franchise save. The game doesn't allow instant swaps for ongoing saves.
You can also tweak your lineup, rotation, and player assignments within the Franchise settings.
Diamond Dynasty Custom Teams

Diamond Dynasty allows you to fully customize your team branding and appearance:

Open the Manage Team tab to adjust your team's roster and appearance.
Cosmetic changes, such as logos, icons, and background themes, can be done via Collections > My Inventory > My Unlockables.
Remember, live events use the current squad, so updating your roster here may affect your event entries.
Event Lineups

For live Diamond Dynasty events:

Open the pre-game menu to adjust your starting lineup or batting order.
If you want to completely change your event squad, you must forfeit your current run and start a new entry. Partial swaps aren't allowed once an event entry has started.
This ensures fair competition across all players in live events.
Tips for Smooth Team Switching
Always double-check your favorite team after editing; sometimes the menu needs a quick refresh.
When switching teams in Franchise or Diamond Dynasty, be aware of contracts, player trades, and unlockables—these settings may impact what you can change.
Use the Preset Menu often to keep your profile aligned with your current preferences.

Editing your team in MLB The Show 26 is straightforward once you know where each mode handles team data. Whether updating your profile, managing a Franchise, or preparing a live event, these steps will keep your game looking and feeling exactly how you want it.
