In Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2), the Warrior's Titan ascendancy is a force to be reckoned with, especially when built around slam skills. Designed for players who crave satisfying, heavy-hitting melee combat, the Slam Titan excels at both clearing hordes of Poe 2 trade  enemies and taking down tough bosses with earth-shattering blows.

Unlike squishy glass cannon builds, the Slam Titan balances raw damage with exceptional survivability, making it ideal for both league starters and endgame veterans. Its core appeal lies in simplicity-no complex rotations, just impactful slams that reward strength and armor scaling. Whether you're new to PoE 2 or a seasoned player, this build offers a fun, straightforward playstyle without sacrificing power.

Build Overview: Core Mechanics & Ascendancy Choices

The Slam Titan revolves around leveraging the Titan ascendancy's unique perks to amplify slam skills. At its heart, this build focuses on physical damage, armor stacking, and aftershock synergy-turning every slam into a devastating AoE attack that crushes enemies in your path.

The Titan ascendancy provides key passives that define the build. Hulking Form boosts the effect of small passive skills, enhancing both offense and defense.Earthbreaker grants a 25% chance for your slams to trigger aftershocks, doubling your AoE damage potential. Mysterious Lineage adds 15% more maximum life, while Stone Skin increases armor from your body armor by 50%-critical for facetanking damage.

For endgame optimization, swap to Ancestral Empowerment, which boosts every second slam you use, and skip Crushing Impacts (it disrupts the flow of slam rotations for this build).

Leveling Guide: From Act 1 to Endgame

Leveling the Slam Titan is smooth and accessible, even for new players. Start with basic melee skills and transition into slam-focused abilities as you unlock them, prioritizing survivability early on.

In Act 1, use Mace Strike with the Overpower support gem to prime enemies for stun. Once you unlock Boneshatter, use it after priming enemies to trigger powerful shockwaves-this combo will carry you through the early acts. Add Rolling Slam for AoE clear, and pair it with Boneshatter to quickly wipe out packs.

By Act 2, replace Rolling Slam with Leap Slam for better mobility and easier combo execution. Unlock the Titan ascendancy after completing the ascension trials, and prioritize Earthbreaker first to boost aftershock chance. For Act 3 and beyond, switch to Stampede for more consistent damage and safer map clearing, keeping Leap Slam socketed for terrain traversal.

By level 65, you'll unlock the support gems needed for the endgame setup. If playing solo self-found (SSF), farm for these gems; in trade leagues, they're often cheap or free.

Gear Setup: Budget to Endgame

The Slam Titan is surprisingly budget-friendly to start, with gear focusing on strength, armor, life, and melee damage. You don't need expensive uniques to clear the campaign-even basic rare items will work.

Weapons: Prioritize two-handed maces with +melee skill levels (aim for +6 or higher), less attribute requirements (to meet Giant's Blood needs), and increased physical damage. For crafting, use transmute/regal or essence to roll these mods, and desecrate for "increased damage while you have a totem" if possible. For endgame, swap to dual two-handed maces for maximum damage output.

Armor: Focus on high-armor pieces with maximum life, elemental resistances, and "armor applies to elemental damage" modifiers. A body armor with high armor value is critical-pair it with Stone Skin to maximize defenses. Helmets, gloves, and boots should follow the same priority: life, armor, resistances, and strength.

Accessories: Amulets should have +2-3 melee skill gems, life, and increased armor. Rings and belts prioritize life, resistances, and strength. For endgame, consider Chernobog's Tower Shield (if using a shield swap) for a massive fire damage boost based on block chance.

Flasks: Prioritize life flasks with increased recovery rate and charges, and a mana flask if needed. For endgame, add a flask with armor or resistance boosts to buy POE 2 Exalted Orbs  further enhance survivability.
